Supervising, Training and Sector support
The objective of this section is to improve the actors' technical level and know how in the livestock sector. (Livestock producers, technicians, feed makers, and the profession) in order to apply new technologies and approaches aiming to develop the sector I.
Supervising and advising :

Fields of intervention
O.E.P supervises farmers in livestock fields (cattle, sheep, goat, camelide, cuniculture, apiculture and farm poultry.Industrial poultry production is undertaken by the Inter Professional Groupment for poultry Production (GIPA).
O.E.P also intervenes in forage production, processing and conservation and in pastoral management.
2. Intervention Approaches
O.E.P intervenes through the services of CRDA ( Commissariat Regional Development Agriultural) and the associative structures available in the area (farmers groups, associations, ONG, cooperatives etc...).
The main used methods are :
Farm Individual visits.
Field days and seminars.
Organization of field trips to farmers and technicians.
Organization of competitions and fairs.
OEP provides specific assistance to livestock farmers who benefit from specific of particular developing programs.
II.
Training
As a specialized institution, OEP carries out training sessions for all actors in the livestock sector (technicians, farmers, associations, performances recording, identification and artificial Insemination staff).
O.E.P provides specialists in various fields to support :
Agency of extension and Agriculture training
(A.V.F.A) for specific training with specific themes .
Agricultural institutions

III.
Support to the professional organization :
Help creating farmers associations and groups regarding animal breed.
Technical assistance to associative structures in the livestock field.
Help the profession taking in charge a part of development activities
In this order, OEP contributed to set up several associative structures acting in this field.
