Creation of the Office of Livestock and Pasture: ( Decree law n° 66-2 dated 24 september 1966, amended by the law n° 66-69 dated 28 November 1966 ) was created according to Decree law n° 66-2 dated 24 September 1966, amended by the law n° 66 dated 28 november 1966 to take in charge the livestock and pasture development activities within the framework fixed by the perspective plans to regulate livestock and main feed prices and to help in searching local and international markets .
Review of the Office of Livestock and Pasture Duties : Its duties were amended by law n° 93-23 dated March 8th, 1993 and its status modified from EPIC (Public Enterprise with Industrial and Commercial Status)To EPNA (Public Enterprise with a non Administrative status) (Annex 3 of the premier Ministry circular n°38 as of August 25, 1997).
OEP is actually the main actor in developing the livestock sector and food resources. It provides consultancy and technical packages for public authorities.
