The Office of Livestock and Pasture is charged to promote the development of the livestock sector. Hence, it ensures the following missions, particularly :
1-The forage and pasture resources development
 Contribute in the development of the forage and pasture seed production.
Develop agricultural techniques related to forage cropping, harvesting, processing and storing.
Implement and develop rangelands' improvement programs.
Valorize the agricultural by products which serve to animal feeding.
2-Livestock techniques and productivity promotion
Selection and acquiring of new technologies .
Technical assistance of livestock farmers .
Livestock genetic improvement .
3-The sector follow up and contribution to its development
Analysis of the sector's indicators and follow up.
Elaboration of sector studies and technical- economic analysis of livestock projects.
Ensure the support to organize the professional sector.
Provide the sector with non competitive products.
4- And in general the accomplishment of any specific mission requested by the state aiming to develop the sector.
